Tia Lance is a proven leader with an astounding reputation for stellar professionalism, high standards and excellence. She currently serves as Senior Portfolio Manager with RIVA Solutions, with her primary role being Director of Programs with the Department of Labor. Tia has over 15 years of experience in management and procurement of government contracting, including managing multiple large scale contracts. Offering a unique professional portfolio which merges the practice of law and executive level program management, Tia also supports the legal department as an advisor. The thing she enjoys most about RIVA is the welcoming culture and the space and opportunity to continuously develop new leaders.
Prior to joining RIVA Tia was a litigation associate with an Am Law Top 50 firm. Her practice areas included complex litigation and contracts. Some of her most notable professional accomplishments include being named a “rising star” attorney and a 2019 “Woman to Watch”.
Tia is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Howard University, where she also obtained her Juris Doctor degree. She is a DC native, who was raised in Carolina, but settled in Atlanta, Georgia. When she is not spending all of her free time with family, she loves flipping investment properties and traveling around the world. She credits her biggest achievement in life as the opportunity to raise two amazing girls, Kennedy and Kaylee.
