As federal agencies reimagine how digital services are designed, delivered, and experienced, RIVA Solutions, Inc. is strengthening its executive leadership to accelerate the next generation of government digital transformation. Effective July 14, Sean “Fitz” Fitzpatrick is promoted to Chief Digital Officer (CDO), where he will lead the company’s strategy for digital service delivery, experience, and Human-Centered Design (HCD). 

As CDO, Sean will drive enterprise strategy and growth of RIVA’s Digital Experience & HCD Practice, helping federal agencies deliver secure, accessible, and intuitive digital services that solve complex challenges and improve mission outcomes. Building on more than two decades of federal digital transformation leadership, Sean will continue advancing RIVA’s Integrated Digital Experience (iDX) solutions and digital capabilities through emerging technologies, strategic partnerships, and innovative delivery approaches that help agencies modernize with confidence.  

Sean has built his career around helping organizations create digital experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and mission-focused,” said Raj Dasgupta, Chief Technology Officer of RIVA Solutions.  “His leadership in this role will strengthen RIVA’s ability to help customers navigate an increasingly dynamic technology landscape while delivering digital solutions that create lasting mission impact. 

Since joining RIVA as Senior Vice President of Human Centered Design, Sean has transformed the company’s Digital Experience practice into a strategic driver of growth and innovation. Under his leadership, RIVA has expanded its customer portfolio, established enterprise best practices through an internal Human-Centered Design Center of Excellence, and developed RIVA’s trademarked iDX framework, bringing together strategy, design, accessibility, content, and engineering into a repeatable approach for delivering mission-focused digital services. He has also expanded the practice’s adoption of modern digital design and collaboration platforms, including Figma, while strengthening strategic partnerships with AWS and Acquia. His team has translated complex requirements into practical, user-centered solutions that improve how government employees and the public interact with technology for agencies including the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).  

Prior to joining RIVA, Sean held digital experience and Human-Centered Design leadership roles at CollabraLink, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Aquilent, where he helped federal agencies deliver large-scale digital modernization initiatives and advance user-centered government services.
