RIVA Awarded DOC CATTS Task Order for International Trade Administration AI Center of Excellence  

RIVA Solutions, Inc. has been awarded a $9.4 million task order with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), International Trade Administration (ITA), to operate, sustain, and expand the agency’s Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI-CoE). The five-year award marks RIVA’s seventh task order under the Department’s Commerce Acquisition for Transformational Technology Services (CATTS) contract vehicle, building on more than 17 years of supporting DOC and further expanding RIVA’s role in advancing ITA’s AI, data, and digital modernization initiatives. 

 As prime contractor, RIVA will partner with Platinum Technologies (PT78) to help ITA move AI from emerging capability to sustainable enterprise practice. The team will operate and advance the AI-CoE while developing AI products, strengthening the data and governance foundations behind them, and integrating cybersecurity and quality assurance throughout delivery. 

 The work will also build on ITA’s existing technology environment, including Azure data services, enterprise APIs, and Power BI, to advance capabilities such as intelligent search and conversational AI. Supported by RIVA’s growing AI practice, the AI-CoE will help ITA turn trusted data into more accessible, useful information while establishing the governance and technical foundation needed to scale AI responsibly across the organization. 

For ITA, that means more than introducing new AI capabilities. It means improving operational efficiency, accelerating the delivery of AI-enabled services, and making trusted trade information easier for American businesses and agency personnel to access and use.
